OUR PROCESS

The following summary outlines our process for custom countertops, however, the approach is similar regardless of what type of surface we will be designing and installing for you.

CONSULTATION

The first step in designing countertops for your home or business begins with becoming familiar with your space. We invite you to visit our showroom at 300 S. Depot Rd in Fields Landing to view our products and color selections. We’d be happy to provide you with samples to bring home and test in the space. You can also send us an email or give us a call at (707) 442.5918.

Information we will need to get started:

Additional information would also be helpful, but is not necessary:

SELECTION

Once you have an idea with the direction you’d like to go with your project, it’s time to select your material and find the perfect color match. We have a wide variety of colors and products to choose from that will complement the features and functionality of your space.

You can view colors from our products page or visit our showroom at 300 S. Depot Rd. in Fields Landing.

Order confirmation AGREEMENT

Once you have decided on your material and color, you will need to sign a order confirmation/agreement in addition to a HCS prep & disclaimer. The order confirmation agreement shows in detail the aspects of your project (color, edge, sink, cooktop, back-splash, etc.). A deposit is required in order for your material to be ordered/released. Final payment will be due after installation is complete. For customer pick up jobs, full payment is required prior to fabrication. Additional forms may be needed depending on the custom scope of the project.

MEASURE

Once you have finalized your contract, we will come on site and measure. We use advanced laser technology for precise measurements. At time of measure, we recommend being on site so we can answer any questions or address unique areas if needed. Prior to your measure appointment, all final details such as edge detail,  color/material choice, stove, faucet etc will need to be decided, otherwise the project could be delayed or a measure appointment may need to be rescheduled.

FABRICATION

Humboldt Countertops & Surfacing utilizes state-of-the-art equipment to build and design your custom countertop. Once a job has been approved by the shop manager, the completed project is loaded onto an A-frame and then placed on an installation truck.

*NOTE: There are often several projects moving through the shop simultaneously and occasionally there are delays. We pride ourselves in the high quality of work we do, and will not cut corners just to meet a deadline. The beauty of your project will be worth the wait.

INSTALLATION

In most cases, the Humboldt Countertop installation team will spend a day at your home to complete your countertop installation.

In order to install your countertops, we require you to have these steps complete prior to our arrival. We do offer tear out services for an additional fee. Depending on what type of material we are removing, will determine the length of time it will require for us to complete & dispose of material.
